Kraken prison island outpost

This secret seaside shore outpost was inspired by lone prisons in the deep sea. It includes a prisoner, 3 guards, and one lonely savior in the secret cave.

The whole build can open up showing this hidden cave and several details within. This hideout was made for staying long times and preparing for battles. The prison wall can be removed to show the inside including a trap door, creating an easy way to escape!

Some SNOT techniques were used for the rocks, but I wanted to create an authentic LEGO set look with sections that are simple and enjoyable to build. There are multiple ways to display minifigures in different poses which I personally use for making pictures.

The secret cave is filled with small story-driven elements, from hidden supplies and a weapon rack to a tiny campfire setup for the savior to plan his rescue. The rocky exterior was designed to look natural yet fortress-like, blending seamlessly into the coastline.

I tried to capture both playability and display value—whether it’s used for storytelling, photography, or just as a standalone diorama. With all the removable parts and hidden functions, this set is meant to surprise and encourage creativity every time it’s opened.
